چکیده

This paper studies market-based mechanisms for dynamic coordinated task assignment in large scale agent systems carrying out search and rescue missions. Specifically, the effect of different auction mechanisms and swapping are studied. The paper describes results from a large number of simulations of homogeneous agents, where by homogeneous we mean that agents in a given simulation use the same strategy. The information available to agents and their bidding strategies are used as simulation parameters. The simulations provide insight about the interaction between the strategy used by individual agents and the market mechanism. Performance is evaluated using several metrics: mission time, distance traveled, communication and computation costs, and workload distribution. Some of the results obtained include: limiting information may improve performance, different utility functions may affect the performance in non-uniform ways, and swapping may help improve the efficiency of assignments in dynamic environments.

Voltage Coordination of FACTS Devices in Power Systems Using RL-Based Multi-Agent Systems

This paper describes how multi-agent system technology can be used as the underpinning platform for voltage control in power systems. In this study, some FACTS (flexible AC transmission systems) devices are properly designed to coordinate their decisions and actions in order to provide a coordinated secondary voltage control mechanism based on multi-agent theory. Each device here is modeled as ...

Intelligent multi-agent modeling of the interbank network and evaluation of the impact of regulatory policies

agent-based modeling is an emerging computational technique that makes it possible to simulate complex economic systems, including the banking network, with a bottom-up approach. In this paper, the country's banking network is simulated with an intelligent multi-agent modeling model and indicates that these agents behave based on the adaptive learning. This modeling has been done with the aim o...
